Vaccination Schedule
In the Republic of Azerbaijan, children's preventive vaccinations are carried out free of charge within the framework of the state program. The vaccination schedule according to children's age is shown in the table below.

Globally, 4 million deaths are prevented annually thanks to childhood vaccinations. Vaccines strengthen the immune system of our children, who are exposed to various microbes daily, protecting them from vaccine-preventable diseases.

⚠️ Note
* If for any reason vaccination against tuberculosis (BCG) within 12 hours after birth is not possible, in exceptional cases, the vaccine must be administered before the newborn leaves the maternity hospital.

💉 HepB (Hepatitis B)
Hepatitis B virus causes liver disease. This vaccine protects the child from hepatitis B and reduces the risk of liver cancer.
🦠 BCG (Tuberculosis)
Tuberculosis is a lung disease and can cause serious complications. BCG vaccine is important for protection against tuberculosis.
🩺 HEXAVACCINE
This vaccine protects against 6 different diseases: whooping cough, diphtheria, tetanus, Haemophilus influenzae infection, hepatitis B and poliomyelitis.
🫁 PCV (Pneumococcal)
Pneumococcal bacteria can cause pneumonia, meningitis and blood infections. This vaccine protects against these serious diseases.
🦵 OPV (Poliomyelitis)
Poliomyelitis virus can cause disability. OPV vaccine is important for protection against poliomyelitis.
🌡️ MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
This vaccine protects against 3 different diseases: measles, mumps (ear infection) and rubella.
🛡️ DTaP and DT
These vaccines protect against whooping cough, diphtheria and tetanus. These diseases can be life-threatening.

🚨 Attention
Side effects of vaccines are usually mild and pass within 1-2 days. Serious side effects occur very rarely. Not getting vaccinated is more dangerous than the risk of disease.
